Collection: Safety & Care
Your SandeBag is designed with convenience and functionality in mind. To ensure safe use of the bag and its components, please follow the guidelines below:
Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning the SandeBag: To clean your SandeBag, use a damp cloth with mild soap. Avoid submerging the bag in water or using harsh chemicals, as this could damage the material or compromise the bag's integrity. Do not use bleach.
Cooler Pouch: The cooler pouch can be wiped down with a damp cloth after use. Ensure it is completely dry before storing to prevent mold or odors.
Drying: Do not use a dryer; air dry only. Avoid ironing to maintain the bag's material and shape.
Avoid Prolonged Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause colors to fade over time. When not in use, store your SandeBag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
General Safety Tips
Inspect Before Use: Before using your SandeBag for the first time, ensure that all components, including the cooler pouch and magnetic snaps, are securely in place. Verify that the shoulder straps, both detachable and non-detachable, are firmly attached.
Cooler Pouch: The cooler pouch is removable and attaches to the inside of the bag using magnetic snaps. Be cautious when attaching or detaching the cooler pouch to avoid pinching your fingers.
Using the Shoulder Straps
Backpack Straps: Always adjust the backpack’s shoulder straps to fit snugly and comfortably on your shoulders. Ensure the straps are not twisted or improperly secured, which could lead to discomfort or strain.
Detachable Shoulder/Crossbody Strap: If using the detachable shoulder strap, whether with the full SandeBag or just the cooler pouch, ensure the strap is securely fastened to avoid accidental detachment.
Solar Panel/Battery Bank Usage
Installation: The solar panel/battery bank comes in a separate box inside your SandeBag. Before using it, carefully read the instructions provided with the solar panel/battery bank.
Clear Pouch: The SandeBag features a clear pouch on the top where the solar panel/battery bank can be inserted. Ensure the panel is properly aligned within the pouch to maximize sun exposure and power generation.
Battery Safety: Follow all safety instructions provided with the solar panel/battery bank to prevent potential hazards.
Water Resistance
SandeBag Water Resistance: Please note that the SandeBag itself is not waterproof. It is designed to withstand typical outdoor use but should not be exposed to heavy rain or submerged in water.
Cooler Pouch: The cooler pouch included with your SandeBag is water-resistant and insulated, designed to keep your items cool. However, it is not waterproof. We recommend using an ice pack or a similar method of cooling rather than filling the cooler pouch with loose ice. This will help prevent leaks and ensure your items stay dry. Avoid placing liquids directly inside the cooler pouch without proper containment, as this could lead to spills and potential damage to other items inside your bag.
Additional Precautions
Weight Limits: Distribute weight evenly to maintain balance and comfort.
Children: Keep the bag, cooler pouch, and all components out of reach of young children to avoid choking hazards or injury from improper use.
Tips & Tricks
Using the Solar Panel/Battery Bank Efficiently
Pre-Charging: We recommend pre-charging your solar panel/battery bank before heading out. This ensures maximum charging capability. Once charged, the solar panel will keep the bank charged, providing you with the most battery power possible.
Optimal Placement: To maximize the solar panel's efficiency, make sure the clear pouch is facing direct sunlight when charging. Even partial shading can significantly reduce charging efficiency.
Charging Electronic Devices: When using the solar panel/battery bank to charge electronic devices, ensure the battery is sufficiently charged. Charging multiple devices simultaneously may reduce the overall charging speed.
Battery Care: Avoid overcharging the battery or leaving it connected to a device once fully charged. This can help extend the battery's lifespan.
Safe Packing and Organization
Balancing Weight: To ensure comfort and prevent strain, distribute weight evenly inside your SandeBag. Heavier items should be placed closer to your back for better balance.
Securing the Cooler Pouch: If you're using the cooler pouch separately, make sure the detachable shoulder strap is securely attached to avoid accidental spills or drops.
Avoid Sharp Objects: Do not place sharp objects directly into the bag or cooler pouch without proper protection, as this could puncture or damage the material.
Maintain Bag Shape: Avoid crushing the bag to maintain its shape and structural integrity.
Traveling with Your SandeBag
Air Travel: If you're traveling by air, note that the solar panel/battery bank may need to be removed and carried separately depending on airline regulations. Check with your airline before traveling.
Outdoor Activities: For outdoor activities like hiking or beach trips, keep the bag's exposure to sand and water to a minimum. Use a waterproof cover or bag liner if you anticipate being near water.
